I am proud of you! you will never be sorry. I quit almost 28 years ago, and I was really addicted. They didn't have Chantix when I quit. I went cold turkey... My brother and sister both used Chantix and have had great success... Keep up the good work. I lost a sister and my Mom both to lung cancer and it is not pretty.. You have done yourself and your family such a huge favor...I see old ladies driving with a cigarette hanging out of their mouths and I think that looks awful... HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY for you!

I am so happy for you. If I were anywhere near you, I would send you a bouquet of balloons, a big cake and make this a very special occasion. My poor DD can't quit and she has tried Chantix several times, the side effects are just awful for her. Congratulations again !!!!!

Congratulations!!! Some people try all their adult life to quit and you did!! My dd used that and it worked for her twice. Unfortunately her finance smokes so she smokes on occasion now too. Too bad for her! But GREAT for you!! My husband quit smoking a pipe over 30 yrs. ago. So it can be done.

Good. I quit 30 years ago. Now can't stand the smell of it. Once you get there to that point, you'll never go back.

Hi MaryStoaks, Well Quilting cured me from smoking!.My sister-in-law asked me to make her a quilt and we bougt the fabric, her choice. Then I made a start, at the time I did everything by hand, cut it all out, a dbl log cabin, and started into sewing it. I lit a cigerette every now and then as a break, then I had a thought! All this smoke smell is going to be caught in the stitching that is taking me so long to complete---- oh my goodness, how awful, from then until now, twenty five years later I haven't smoked.Think of this when you want to light up that awful adictive weed. Love and good luck, you can do it ! Letty xx
