That happened to me when I was teaching a sewing class! Talk about embarrassing! You would think the teacher would know better. And boy, does it ever hurt!

Have you had a tenus shot in past 10 years? Might want to get another one. Take care.

At the age of 5 I was using Mom's treadle machine. The needle went thru my finger! Mom took the needle out of the machine, took me into the bathroom and poured peroxide over it then pulled out the needle- gave the finger a kiss=- put the needle back in the machine and told me to continue my dolls dress.
If she had scolded me I might not have ever sewed again!

I have a friend that did the same thing. Her hubby wasn't home so she drove herself to the ER with the needle through her finger! I think her quilting actually improved after that! Hmmmm

If it's been more than 5 years since your last tetnus shot, you really need to get one. Make sure you wash the area with antibacterial soap. Rinse well, Soak in peroxide to bubble out any debri. Coat wih a gook antibacterialy ointment. Clean every day. Watch for signs of redness, swelling, warmth, and pain. If red streaks appear go to your doctor or ER immediately. The streaks are a sing of a bad infection.

Ouch. Please keep it clean. Why waiting for hours in the ER when you can take care of it yourself.
