Tons of HEALING HUGS go your way for a speedy recovery...I kicked the side of my index finger once and now I'm so super careful around my rotary cutter. Those klutz gloves are too big for my fingers and make me even more clumsy...

ouch  I cut down to the bone one time and have a nice scar to prove it. Now I have gloves.

I can't belive how many of us have had accidents. I once cut the side of my thumb that was holding the ruler. Unfortunatley I had just taken a pill for a migraine which you would think is the reason that it happened but not really. The problem ended up that it would not stop bleeding from the migraine pill.

It figures I did mine while cutting. I am always very sure to put the blade back when I put it down. I have read too many stories about people picking them up with the blade out.

Feel better soon :(

Hope it heels without any problems. I left a cutter open and my little grandson grabbed it. I got it away from him and all looked ok until a few min. later and he had blood all over his face and blonde hair. His Day care bus was on the way. Finally was able to get pressure bandages on his fingers and told the bus driver what had happened so she could tell the school nurse. The cuts were deep but he did not need stitches. I called his father, my son, and told him what happened. Then went out and bought a cutter that closes automatically. I felt so bad about that. All heeled and it did not slow him down at all.

Oh, hope it heals quickly!

Oh. my, I just cringed and I can feel it. So sorry and hope you heal quickly. I have had some close calls, just a nick here and there but nothing this serious - ouch.

I've been fighting buying one of these and am afraid I won't take the extra seconds it would take to put it on before I cut but I think I better reconsider before I, too, end up shortening a finger like her and so many others. Hugs to you so you heal quickly. I feel your pain; I did something very similar about 15 years ago with a kitchen knife and chicken! still have a little bump there and will always be there. Hugs to you

been there, done that! I had sliced off the whole corner part of my finger, I was really scared because I was on blood thinners, but it finally stopped bleeding and healed nicely. Hope you feel better soon.
