Some tattoos are placed where they can't be seen for personal reasons. Another reason is a major one: The work place doesn't allow them to be visible! My tattoos are visible when I am outside of work because my personal clothes cover less than work clothes.

No way. Although man has been defacing the body since the beginning of time, I see no reason to do so. I don't even have pierced ears. When I inherited a beautiful collection of earrings, I thought about it for maybe five minutes. I'm definitely a no frills person. My only jewelry, a wedding band, occasionally a simple necklace. Don't even wear makeup. While I admire a smartly dressed and adorned woman, it just doesn't fit my casual outdoors lifestyle. I even find temporary tattoos disgusting, on men and women.

Never.

My dad had a cousin that was a prisoner during WWII. They tortured him by tattooing almost his whole body with tattoos applied with bamboo. VERY painful. He was a really nice guy that was turned away by many after he came back home. People didn't like them and wouldn't listen to why he had them. To this day I can't stand to see tattoos. They remind me of how he had been so mistreated first by the Japanese and then by his fellow countrymen.

I wouldn't get a tatoo. But my husband got one of a quilt with a needle and thread and my name under it.

I have never ever ever seen a tattoo that looks like it is good art. That sewing machine looks awful to me. Imho tattoos are always uglier as they age and blur. Ick

No, I don't care for marking my body. But if you like that, go for it.
