I have had to quit going to my quilt guild meetings after going since in the 1980's but do to rent costs they moved to another section of town with a reputation and it is so unsafe we have to ring a doorbekk to get in and remain locked in during the meeting no way do I want to do that or leave my car this world is quickly changing

So sorry this happened to you! I hate thieves!! Such a cowardly low down thing to do...our house had been broken into 5 times before we moved to where we live now. It was a good neighborhood too....anyway...one thing I learned was to just take pics of everything you own..and yes, a close up of the serial numbers too if you can. Put the card from your camera in the lock box away from your house...you'll have a record of everything for the insurance co.

It has taken no time at all from leaving the house and car unlock to everything being lock up. Sorry that happened to you and for the reminder not to keep anything out in the open for people to see.

Same thing happened to me. One thief sits in the vehicle as they pull up next to yours, the other "small guy" breaks out the back window and dives in and hands all the goodies to his buddy. Police say, they break the back window so it does not set off the alarm. I was moving my daughter and had all kinds of stuff in the front and back seat. My purse was under two crates and the front seat.,..he fond it. Lost purse, camera gift bag of cross pens for my board members, Dell projector roll of stamps in glove box. I had stopped to buy lunch for everyone helping with the move. What a horrible day. Now six month later I hear that a guy who was trying to run over a police officer trying to stop his car, was shot. A small 13 year old kid was in the passenger seat.(fits easily through back windows) They found all kinds of items stolen from a car break in.....guess what my theives! I hope he suffers with his gun shot wound and has alot of sleepless nights as we did.

I'm so sorry to hear about the destruction. I hope that the police are actively investigating.
