I order them online,their sanitized & cleaned. I bought a forty pound bag ,not cheap. But I find they hold heat longer and don't give off smell like the corn does. I've never tried rice we're not gentle people so if it gets thrown down I thought the rice would eventualy be powder.If you type in cherry pit store ir should come up
