It just got me thinking and wondering if it's something I might like to try. Is there anything I should know beforehand? What type of place should I try and find?

wanda lou-people will blindfold horses to get them out of a scary place, say a burning barn, otherwise the horses won't go out. This is NOT the same as the "screen" masks that drivingsusan is talking about.

I've never had a sore hiney when riding in English saddles, but I have not found a western one yet that didn't leave me bruised.
As a bonus, there was a study out several years ago stating that you burn more calories riding a horse than a bike.
