I believe that those colored iris are pretty close to the original iris colors before they started hybridizing everything. I am 82 and those iris were all down the bank behind our first house in lower MI.

very pretty for sure ,.I am going to get some ruffled Iris to put in our front yard as I just think they are pretty even after the flowers bloom.
