Re the quilt ideas - would it work with appliqué bias tape? like Celtic but free form? :D
The church is really doing it for me.... I'm not religious but the symbolism is really sticking in my mind. I wish I'd taken a straight on shot, but there were some people standing in front of it and I didn't want to get in their way. And I couldn't wait, it was the kid's day after all, not mine. ;-)

Thanks for sharing your photos the photos are beautiful. Are you on the north or south island?

I would love to take Liam there one day, as a single parent I am tempted to do one of those north and south island tours but they are so expensive in comparision to the fly - drive yourself deals... maybe I could convince someone to come with us to help with the driving. My mum and dad want to go but they are into those retirees travel group tours and we couldnt tag along LOL Maybe I could convince them to come with us. Hardly though... mum and dad look after my son and my nephews before and after school and when they go away, they enjoy the peace from the grandkids LOL

I went to New Zealand on my honeymoon 24 yrs ago, from Christchurch to Auckland then then the bay of islands.. very pretty all over. Lovely pictures you took and beautiful birds.. I must have been too much in love I dont recall the birds at all! The rhodedenrums (spell check) and the azaleas yes but birds.. ah how nice it would be to see it through mature eyes when your looking at the world so much clearer. I loved your Country. Thanks for the photos and the trip down memory lane.

Beautiful! The cabins and that "tree house" are like something out of a storybook.

    Thanks for sharing!
