i've got losts of customjewelry ( in the business for 30 yrs), but wanted a tat since i was 4. my son wanted one at 4 i told him for his 18th, so he got one then. my first was a bumble bee, second was a small heart about 1 1/2" with my son's name and the next will be a cat or paw print about 1 1/2"
no sense in going big. i barted for my first two, making embroidery gifts for the person who did my tats.
i don't want to pay for this one either, and the prices are thru the roof, so i guess i may have to part with a quilt.

I find them facinating but would not put myself thru the pain of getting one. That is why I am not going to have a face lift too LOL Do not ask for pain intentionally.

This was an interesting topic, wow I am amazed at how many quilters have tattoos (women and men), very interesting to read.

When I retired from teaching, I had a tattoo of Garfield climbing up my neck done. I wanted Garfield because he was a monthly bulletin board in my classroom. I get lots of comments. Grandma when are you going to wash your tattoo off??? I love my tattoo and have never been sorry I did it or that I put it where it is never covered.

I love Karen McTavish's tattoos on her arms, from elbow to shoulder, her gorgeous over-the-top feathers!

I didn't get my first tatto until I was 36 years old not at almost 60 years old I have 14 and counting. Last year I got my Harley wings and a Purple People Eater, as my Harley is purple haze so I named her the Purple People Eater.

I am now looking into one for quilting as I am very addicted and have made over 100 that I can remember I have a page with some of my quilts here on the board.

I have one on the back of my left shoulder. I only shows with tank tops. It's of a sprig of dogwood flowers. My DH and I gave each other tattoos for Valentine's Day in 2007. Our first ever, and I was 56 that year!

Who says old dogs.......and all that!! LOL
