We have been on the list since it first came out. We still get calls all of the time. They start by saying they don't want to sell me anything and then go on to try to do just that. I always reply "No thank you and Goodbye." Then I hang up. My DH just hangs up. It is very annoying that it still happens especially when it is a recording.

Try googling donotcall.gov. Thats what we use in WA State and it seems to work as long as the number is registered as a telemarketer. I find many call under "private name" and other normal-looking phone numbers typically seen from legit residences or businesses. Those types of numbers can't be blocked, unfortunately. Donotcall.gov has been effective in reducing the number of solicitations we receive by phone. I wish someone would come up with something effective to block spam from fax machines

I thought I was on the dnc registry but still get them The ones that drive me crazy are the ones trying to get me to refinance my cc's. I wait on until a "supposed" live person comes on and then proceed to tell then I don't have any cc's and please take my # off their list. By this time they've gotten fed up and hang up on me.!
