Magnets are marvelous. I'm still cleaning out my late DH's garage, and brought in a 2 pound magnet that is on a rope. This baby will pick up a CHAIR if I wanted it to. No pin or needle will go unfound, and I'll not have to worry about seeing my cat strolling along with a yellow topped pin in his mouth.

I do this also, all of the time. A magnet is a great help. I keep one in my sewing room just for this purpose. You are not alone in this mess.

and here I thought I was the only one that did that, I do it at least once a week. Don't be hard on yourself, use a magnet as someone suggested (works for me).

I have several of the magnetic wands and several magnetic pin holders and I still get pins on the floor. I have no excuse except I'm clumsy.

Usually if I think something is going to happen, it does! And usually it's the worst scenerio! Is there any way you can put a magnet in the bottom of the containters? Maybe all of them won't fall out! Just think, the sun will shine tomorrow.....

Oh nooooooo, there's that song again.
The sun will come out tomorrow..tomorrow tomorrow

Last time I heard it we sang it for days.
Dreamer2009 if this was all it took to make me hate myself, I would be in deep poo poo. Seriously? I am so glad you got a magnet. I was going to put one in a box and send it right away. Ask joanieu about the pins spilling in my room, All over the place. Being blind in my right eye, I always knock something over when I turn towards the right. lOL. Usually I don't put anything on that side that could wreck havoc. LOL. Good idea fro smaller tins. Hugs to you....♥♥

This is a great tool -- bought it at an auto supply store really cheap, then saw it at a quilt show for more than double the price

You aren't alone...some days are better than others....cup of tea, a few deep breaths and things tend to look brighter.
