Now I'm hoping the tin is the right size...

If you're looking for a tin that will fit your credit cards, try craft stores like Michaels. They sell them for gift cards, so credit cards would fit too.

The article said that some banks will still send the old kind of card but that eventually they will all be this new kind. Why? If it is a problem seems stupid. Also they warn that this can be done in restaurants when you give your card to waiter. Maybe I'll just stay home.

Wow - quilters with guns! Now that is something we don't have over here in Oz! We have gun laws in force over here and masses of guns were handed back years ago to the government for destruction. Took me a minute to get my head around the thought of quilting and guns in the same sentence.

Do you plink? I have an arsenal but no place to shoot at the moment. I focus mostly on shooting history. Old guns but will fire someone else's new toys. Love the smell of black powder.

On topic, tin foil hats came about because they would actually block "something." Hatters are still crazy but they built their crazy on a logical foundation.

Check with your bank or credit union. Mine gives away one of the security envelopes to put your credit card or ATM card in for free. All you have to do is ask. It's part of their security service.
