Default tomato thief

Someone is stealing my tomatoes as soon as they turn green. I had about twenty beautiful green tomatoes coming along nicely and all of a sudden they were all gone. I put black netting over my plant and the second batch still disappeared. I hope whoever ate them gets a tummy ache from eating so many . LOL

More than likely whom ever it was needed some moisture. Usually they wait until they start to turn red on the bottom end. Maybe someone likes fried green tomatoes.

That's so disappointing! Is it happening at night? If so, can you shine a light on the vines?

Maybe you could put a dish of water out for the critter. Maybe that's what they want??

They ate our tomatoes turning pink. It was mockingbirds. They would fight to get through the nets.

I know how you feel. I, too, lost my tomatoes last night. The deer jumped the fence and ate the tomatoes as well as the plants. The tomato harvest has been nil, and now there won't be any tomatoes, at all!

Chickens! A neighbor of ours had some beautiful tomatoes almost ready to pick. Our chickens got loose and ate every one of them.

We had to laugh because we thought they were roosting for the night.

I saw something a long time ago where the tomato thief was a box turtle! These were cherry tomatoes.

Have you checked to see if it is tomato worms? I know that a couple of years ago I planted some tomato plants and looked at them before I ran some errands. When I came back all the tomatoes were gone. Found the worms on the plants. They can be very damaging.
