It makes me happy to de-clutter the kitchen & any other room........even one drawer. Most always there is more
room for storing the things I really use. Do many of you use your bread machine?
Pampered Chef has one thing I think every kitchen needs - ( I think it is called fix and mix.) It is
a tool I use for cooking ground beef in the skillet. (My daughter sells PC)

My bread machine cost $10 at the thrift store and it was like brand new.
Love it and use it a lot.
Don't go by recipes, you have to learn to feel the dough to get a good loaf. Mine needs to be slightly sticky. So use more water than the bread book says to use.
Sometimes I put Craisins in the dough.
A little practice and you have a great loaf of bread.

I bought this jar opener when I got married 53 years ago. It has outlasted the marriage by 31 years . It is so useful I'd never get rid of it. It really helps since I have RA.

Yep, gave my breadmaker to my daughter as the loaves it made were too small and they tasted too much like store bought bread. I make all my bread by hand, have done for years now, 4 loaves at a time and freeze them. The bread is a much nicer, coarser loaf. Very yummy and so much cheaper. I throw in all sorts of seeds and stuff depending on my mood. Another useless kitchen item?.......my electronic yoghurt maker...don't use it anymore as I make a much nicer yoghurt if I incubate it in an insulated lunch bag with a heat bag for company for 12 hours.

For some silly reason I thought it would be nice to have "good dishes" for every holiday. Now I have two hutches full of dishes I use one day a year. Silly me. I have several sets of Christmas dishes, halloween, winter, Thanksgiving, summer, winter, Easter and what ever. Most of the time now we use the same dishes for everthing. I need to get rid of these.

I have to chime in here at the risk of making myself look like an idiot. The most worthless item I ever purchased was a set of "Eggies". They are little egg-shaped containers that you put egg beaters in, and then boil them, to make faux hard-boiled eggs. I was thinking less calories and cholesterol at the time, that's my only defense. The things never worked - they either fell apart in the boiling water, or the egg beaters oozed out the sides. At least I only wasted ten bucks on them.
