just a thought, it might be fun to make the blocks for the month out of the themed fabric then it would be a record of how many lbs you lost each month.[/quote]
I like this idea too!!! But also don't make it mandatory just incase not someone doesn't have the print. Let everyone decide what size block they want to use. What do you think thelondonzoo?

Missy love the pics you are so beautiful!

Please post the quilt pics here so I don't have to look for another thread to follow, and because not everyone is interested in our journey so they just won't appreciate them as much as we all will. Just my thoughts on the subject.

None of it is mandatory. It is their choice if they even want to make a fat quilt and if they do they could use the themed fabric or any fabric they would like.

I was thinking it might be better if it was a seperate thread suppose others who aren't doing the challenge but are on a diet would like to join in and make a fat quilt then they can too.

I think if I make quilt blocks for the weight I lose, it would be a very, very small quilt. Maybe a quiltette?

PS - Missy the pics are great, you guys have the same smile!

I agree, it should be something very personal to the person making it. I just said 6" blocks because I have a lot to lose and if I made 12" blocks then I'm have a massive quilt! lol I think any style, size, and fabric choice should be left up to that person. And if you want to include past weight loss then you can do that too.

I like the idea of posting the pics here. They might serve as encouragement for those who are struggling. But why not use two threads? One for us on the challenge and one for those not on the challenge.

Ok, now I have some motivation to watch what I eat and exercise. I want to get started on my first block! lol

I'm lovin the idea of 2 threads that way we can share with each other on this one and then with others on the QB too. I'm needing to work on Rhonda's sampler blocks so I could do that and use them for my weight loss quilt too!! Sorry thinking out loud here!

OK so it is settled then we will have a seperate thread for the fat quilts.

Christina aka thelondonzoo you said you would start the thread which is great. I am sure people will be PMing with questions like they do with the challenge and I wouldn't be able to keep up with both threads of PMs.

what if you would title it

Pictures.....Fat quilts for fat people

then explain what we are doing on the comment page.

Once you get it set up let us know by posting the link on this thread.

Exercise will start today. The shots in my back have left me with almost no pain so I can actually walk now without pain. Will start slow, but at least there will be movement of this ole body!
