It's still my all time favorite album, though not nearly the first one I purchased. I saw her way back at a free Central Park concert. Got there really early. She did a sound check and talked to me and my friend!! We were thrilled!!

We share the same sweet memories, because I too can recall where I was, who my boyfriend was at the time, and even to my baby son (16 months old) jumping up and down in his playpen whenever "Hullabaloo" came on and I was dancing around the room. :lol:

Remember the Liz Taylor shirts with the ruffle around the bottom, up the front and around the neck. She wore this when she had neck surgery to cover up her scar. My mom made me one with all kinds of lace on the ruffles.
Then there were the doctor shirts when the tv shows Ben Casey and Dr. Kildare were on.

Not my first, but first 45rpm in our house was purchased by my father after someone gave us a player: 16 Tons by Tennessee Ernie Ford. I was probably in 4th or 5th grade. I remember this because it was so unlike him (music selection and that he bought a record)!

Can you believe it? It was Mickey Mouse in the 50's.
