I think Simon & Garfunkle "Homeward Bound" because it reminded me of my DH when he was in the Navy. He would ride the bus home on weekends from the base when they were in port. Geez..I loved the Supremes too..."Baby Love" was my favorite. I know I still have a box with all the 45's my DH bought me when we were dating. They are antiques now *L*

My first "big girl" record was a 45-"Puppy Love" by Donny Osmond. I remember playing it hours on end-with my door shut! I of course had many other children's 45s.

My kids love the oldies! They beg me to play the Malt Shop CDs in everytime we go somewhere! They live again

The Four Tops version is the one I remember - I loved all Tamla Motown - But it was written and evidently a hit by a group called The Left Bank but I don't remember that version.

I think it was Deep Purple “Machine Head.” I ended up swapping it for a Sean Phillips album.

I remember 78's, although I never had any myself. Can't remember which was my first record. I do remember in the summer, walking 3 miles to downtown to browse and finally decide which 45 to get, and then walk back. I lost 10 lbs. that summer. Boy, that was back in the day! I still love the walk, but my back won't let me.
