What kind of sewing machine are you using?

Brother PE 770 , This one is strictly embroidery.
Janome 11543, it's a heavy duty machine. I can sew through 6 layers of denim.
Brother SQ9000, this my quilting machine. It is computerized and has tons of neat little stitches to use.

You probably already have hundreds of preferences as there are so many machines. SO far I have owned Kenmore, Singer, New Home, Janome, Brother and Juki. I still keep the new home for classes but I simply would not trade my Juki's for anything else. I have the TL98Q and the 2010Q. The 2010Q I just got to use with my frame and love it but the 98-TLQ I bought over 3 years ago and still runs like brand new and it has FMQ'd at least 50-70 quilts.

I sew most of my quilts with a Viking I purchased about 8 years ago. I have had problems with the computer twice.
Both times were under warranty. For my backup machine, I have an older Bernina 830 Record.
Make sure you test drive the machine you think you'll be buying. Take some of your own scrap fabrics.
Good luck!
