Well, I got so MAD when I woke up today...I'm not entirely sure why I was mad in the first place. Something little happened and next thing I know I'm cursing at every little thing.

Well, I guess I was so mad that I remembered the German I learned off that language CD last night.

I got a couple language CD sets from the library and the librarian said she took German in college so next time she saw me she was going to test me and see what I learned so far. So I had spent last night trying to learn how to speak a little (something beyond German versions of Tokio Hotel songs) and as soon as I would repeat what they would say on the disc I'd completely forget about it. It just wasn't sticking at all and I was having trouble saying it at a normal pace and getting the sounds right. So this afternoon I woke up, got mad, and somewhere in my frustration I said "Hello. How are you?" in perfect German.

So yeah. Speaking in a language I was having trouble with and without consulting a little cheat note to do so sort of made my day. :)

Got confirmation that the Property Manager of the townhouse unit next door is going to fix the problems on their side that resulted in us being flooded. Been a big hassle. Soon we'll be able to lay carpet down and not have to have concrete floors in the dining and living rooms. Beyond tired of those! Good to know that repairs are finally moving after Jan. 20th flooding.

Glad to hear eveyone's good news. I thought I had a blood clot in my left leg, was glad to find after an ultrasound that I didn't have one, Dr. thinks maybe an injury I didn't notice. Always good news.

I went to doc for problem with my foot. Had surgery on it last summer and was told I might need more - but learned today that it's just an arthritic joint. Not that it's any fun, but it's good to know I won't have to go through the whole "crutches" episode again. I'm too clumsy for those things! :-)

Also, the sun is shining bright and it's warm today. It's been dreary for several days, so this was nice to have.

I had a very special day today. My friend & I have been volunteering at our local YWCA shelter for a little over a year now & today we were honored at the annual luncheon & given the Y's Friend Award. We have enjoyed volunteering there every week & it makes us feel so good to be able to help where we can. They have so many good programs for the women & just don't have the time to do a lot of things. If any of you ever decide to volunteer some place check out your local Y shelter they just might need you!
