My DH has never cared for parties, so we will stay at home and do 'nuthin 'cept TV, go to bed early. How boring!

We will have the "perfect" evening. Staying home, close by a warm fireplace. Have snacks, and talk. This is one night I don't care to be out on the highways. I like celebrating the entrance of a new year quietly!

I love to use the excuse we are old folks (ok in our forties) and we dont need to stay up any longer than necessary. Its so highly over rated and the day.. it will come tomorrow anyways. So a peaceful night together, early to bed early to rise and well be blessed we are given one more day to enjoy life.

We always stay home watching TV with DH and the kids. This year we plan to go to NYC to be with DD and my In-laws. I suggested to Jorge that maybe, since we are reinventing our lives this coming year, we can start by doing something DIFFERENT!! so, the plan is to watch the ball drop right there on Times Square. I mean, as close as we can get. DD works that night and she will not have a train ride alone if we are there. The plan goes depending on the temperatures. I am not freezing my __tt for this.

We'll be spending it with our best friends at their cabin up north on a frozen lake, with snow all around. We'll all cook our evening meal, with chocolate fondue for dessert sometime later in the evening. Fireworks are planned for some entertainment and Wow factor at midnight if we're able to stay awake that long!

Hopefully, nothing. My hubby says I am a boring person...but, I like staying at home instead of having to make small talk with people I don't know very well. Our church is having a party that evening...board games, volleyball, etc., with a short 'service' right before midnite...NO, I do not want to go to that, either. I am not a 'game' person...I would much rather stay home and watch movies/TV, read, or sew.

We are inviting a bunch of friends over for our 2nd annual New Year's Eve Fondue night! We had a PILE of food with various fondues on the go last year and it went over very well. So we decided to do the same thing again this year!
