We usually stay home and just hang out..watch the ball drop. This year is a little differnt. After I get off work DH and I along with my DD and her boyfreind will head to Co to my husband's family. We are doing Christmas with them this weekend and since we are both off New Year's day we figured we would drive out Thurs night and be there for midnight....give everyone a kiss and hit the sack before the start of a fun but hectic weekend!!

I wish everyone a great and safe new year!

DH and I are long past partying on New Year's Eve, and so it seems to be with all of our friends. After much Christmas cooking, company and visiting we're usually worn out by NY Eve. The past few years we have a nice snack with some wine for me and a beer for him and stay up as long as we can. My grandfather used to say "Whatever you do on NY's Day is what you'll be doing all the rest of the year." I plan to be in my sewing room working on quilts so I hope his saying really comes true for me. May in Jersey

Next day we get up when we want (these are good friends who will go ahead and make the coffee if they're the first ones up!) We'll watch the Rose Parade on TV, then go for a walk around the lake about a mile from my house. Then in the afternoon we usually go to a movie--I'm thinking Avatar because I've heard so many good things about it.

DH joins in on most of this--except he'll sleep later and probably miss the Rose Parade. Other than that, he's just like one of the girls!

Who needs a New Year's Eve party when you have great friends you can do stuff like this with?????
OHHHH, Tulsa Rib Company....brings back great memories. I love their ribs! Enjoy!!!

My boss (and friend) always throws a New Years Party at their home. It's pretty much all the friends we both have from Church.

I'm excited this year!! My sister and her hubby are coming to visit. Usually I spend the evening alone, but not this year. We won't do anything special, but its nice to have company :-D :-D Before they get here, I have to drive my DGD home to her mom's (1 hr 45 min away) because my son will be working. But I should be home by 7pm and its quite possible I'll arrive to family in my house!! Which will be really nice since we've had the baby here for a week (she's almost 3) and its going to be really quiet without her :-D :-D My sister says she's going to help me straighten the house up, I forgot what a tornado a 3 year old is!! I'm hoping to get the sewing room in some order so I can spend the new year in there! I have to add...as I type this I'm watching the goofy squirrels trying to pry the suet cage open..they are such clowns

Home, warm, safe and watch the ball drop - alone. My DH usually goes to bed before the countdown. Parades on New years Day while relaxing with the day off!
