That is where Grandma and Grandpa lived and we spent many a happy time on the farm in Newark off of county rd 69. Momma's parents lived in Dexter, MO. That is where we ran all over town with the cousins. I love writing to folks all over who love quilting. I do not have any close friends whom like to quilt. Thanks for being here.
I was also Born in Dexter but now live in Mission,Texas.

I have lived in the Hudson Valley area in New York my whole life. It is a beautiful area, but the winters can be a long with snow and cold.

My father was born in 1913. Times were tough for his family. He moved 35 times in 40 years. He lived in his last house (home to me) for 46 years.

Wow! This has been such fun reading. Thanks for the thread. I was born and raised in Chapel Hill,NC. Met DH at UNC and moved to Long Island, where he is from. Been here ever since, but I go back at least once every couple of months.
Upon retiring we will move back to Chapel Hill and hopefully my daughter and her family will follow. Son is in LA and will never come back here,(to east coast) except possibly to live in NYC. How'd I raise a country girl and such a city boy?
