I agree with Eddie enough is enough.
I live in Central California, and we have been searching for the "best place to retire to". We want to get away from 6 months of 90 degrees and higher temps. After reading all of these posts, my dreams are being dashed! Is there anywhere where the summers are lovely?

It's miserably hot here in NW Georgia. It's 82 degrees right now even though it's 2:40am, with a heat index of 86 degrees!

Tomorrow's temperature is supposed to be 99 degrees. The expected heat index is supposed to be "at least 105". Ugh. With the humidity, it's like being in a sauna. It feels like you're breathing hot water.

We've had to supplement our regular house A/C with two window units because it can't keep up. Our house faces straight west, and is in full sun from around 9am until sundown. I'm really thankful we had the two extra window units!

I'm in the process of making DH some neck coolers he can wear at work, if I can find what I did with the doggone crystals.

Come on, winter!!!

Good morning! It's 7 am and it's 79 outside and the humidity is at 88%. It's gonna be nasty. You all try to stay cool today.

We are "the gateway to Death Valley" here in the Mojave Desert of CA. Surprisingly it has been a rather cool year. Today is supposed to be 107 and 106 tomorrow. And the night is supposed to get down to 67. That is unheard of here. I remember summers where it didn't get below 115 for weeks on end. Our weather seems to be changing. It isn't nearly as hot in the summer (I remember the day it hit 124) or as cold (we once hit 6 degrees - it froze the incoming natural gas valve to the whole city). But it has been one of the windiest years. The month of June we only had 10 days without high winds (35+ mph). But it will be the first of November before it actually cools down here and probably 1 April when we crank up the swamp cooler again. I guess every place has its problems.

This heat is getting really monotonous. I absolutely can't stand it!! My flower beds are a mess b/c I can't stand being outside. I am so grateful for AC or else I would be the biggest witch in the world!!
I can't remember a summer this bad every single day. I'm dreaming of blizzards haha
Keep cool everyone~!~

I live in Central California - on the coast of Pismo Beach! I would have to say that this has been one of the coolest summers I can remember. I have been freezing. The other day I just sat in the car with the windows rolled up in the sun just to get warm. (with the kitty on my lap!) We both loved it! Oh, and I had a blanket on me. The other night it got down to 37. I'm not kidding! I would love hot and humid for a few weeks!
