oh yes remember it well filling the stamp books to go buy whatever we were saving for. It was fun. We even had it when we got married but then it disappeared with a lot of other things. Sue

I remember getting a tablesetting of silverware at the Richfield gas station in my home town for every fill-up when I was a senior in highschool. I graduated in 1970. That was my first set. I still have the majoity of it.

Absolutely. In fact, I have a rocking chair downstairs that I got with S&H Green Stamps before my daughter was born 45 years ago. My mother told her sister and two aunts that I was collecting Green Stamps to get the rocking chair. The three of them sent me books of S&H Green Stamps so I could get the chair. I rocked my daughter and then my son in that precious chair. Wonderful memory.

I so remember the green, gold and blue chip stamp. My mother worked at the blue chip stamp store. We even got our 1st t.v. there. I sure wish they still had those stamps. We licked and even the dog would hole out his tongue and we'd paste it in the book. What good days.

Are we dating ourselves?? Yes, I remember Mom saving them and my older sister and I having to put the stamps in the book. Later, I saved stamps and got a 5 piece cut glass set that I still have. Those were the good ole days!!!!!

the S&H stamps were also given out at one gas station where I lived. We would drive around town in the evenings(it was the rage in the late 60's/ early 70's),& we would stop at this station. WE WOULD FLIRT as they pumped the gas, & we would get triple to quadruple stamps(must've been good at flirting!) We could fill a book in no time. Then we took it back to the station for $3.00 in gas---almost 3gallons! LOL!!! a lot of innocent fun!
