My cat used to do that with my school books when i was in college, had no interest in me until i tried to study, she would sit on my books. I think they just have to be the center of attention. She still does this to this day, when I have time for her won't give me the time of day, but when i am busy is up in my face, trying to be on my lap.

It is just that you are intent on something other than her...
My Bear races you to the bathroom so he can jump on the sink and demand running water. Socrates wanders the house yelling 'hehrow' at the top of his lungs.

bad part is that I have to evict my othe cat also. :(

Well you'd probably do it wrong with out supervision -DUH- I have a computer dog-a quilting kitty -a peddle pooch and the Old Lady cat who over see s all reading and I'm sure I could do these things w/o supervision but I'll never know for sure :) :)

One of our 2 yrs old "kittens" doesn't meow...she chrips and thrills. Never have I heard a meow out of her. Her brother makes up for it. He can emeow loud enough to hear him throughout the house....we think he gets "lost" when we are in a different room than him. We'll call him and he comes running and then all is fine.
They both love the running water in the tub and will stretch over the edge (we have a ledge around our tub) in order to reach in and get water (yes while I'm in it)...they've both taken a tumble into it but that doesn't phase them.
They keep me laughing since the DH works away from home all week.
