It was the same as the stuff I bought the year before 1 tablespoon to a gallon. Last year I was like "this stuff is not working" because I could not see the grass dying. I was going to take it back because it was not cheep but then I realized the grass was somehow gone and I swear I didn't see it dying. it just sort of dissinagrated.
Thanks for this information. Will go to work at finding some now. :) Chris

my neighbor told me yesterday that she uses vinegar with a little liquid dish soap to spray on dandelions and weeds to kill them. The edges of her gravel drive are so weed free that I asked what she used.

My gravel road has grass and weeds down the middle -- I shall try it when (if ever) we have a fer clear , no rain, days.

Vinegar can't hurt her.
I have trouble with those little black bugs and my mom told me to put a bay leaf or two in a small bowl and set the bowl in the cupboard or wherever you see the bugs..windowsills etc and they are drawn to the bay leaf and die..I tried it and it works!!
I had a fruit fly problem and this is what I did:
Put a saucer or cup of apple cider vinegar in a few places around the kitchen, add just a drop of Dawn dish deterg. The flies think the vinegar is rotting fruit, land it and then the Dawn breaks down the waxy coat on the fly and it will drown. Really worked for us, and while we still had fruit in the house they still went for the vinegar.

Lots of ideas for vinegar uses on the internet. Type in "vinegar uses".
Works great as a fabric softener. I put it in a Downy ball.
It gets rid of heartburn, is a great cleaner, and is cheap! :)

For me at the first sign of a urinary track problem I start 2 tblspns apple cider vinegar in apple juice (just 3 or so ounces) drink it down every 2-3 hrs. Gets rid of it for me.

Wow, this might work on cleaning some of my vintage sewing machines.

What a useful topic. Thanks! :-D
Just MAKE SURE you RINSE the parts really well. Or the vinegar will continue to eat away at the metal.

It kills the weeds and also the flowers. I use it for spraying in cracks in the sidewalks where weeds come up.

Really, does it kill the weeds? I ask because I have an iris bed which is half weed and half iris and don't want to hurt the flowers but would love to kill the weeds.
