whydja let him get so wild? We have three dogs in this house and none of them act anything like that. Did you crate train him or just let him run loose? Sounds like he's the top dog and knows it - YOU have to be leader of the pack - not him...

How long is he in a crate at a time? He is still a young dog, and needs LOTS of exercise. When he's let out of the crate, is he immediately taken out and played with vigorously till he's tired? If not, I suspect the bad behavior is an excess of energy from having been in forced inactivity for hours. You may consider it "acting out" when it's a natural response to lack of attention and exercise.

As far as fixing the pupper I say go for it! The license is a lot cheaper and you dont have to worry about him bringing his G/F home pregnant!

But on a side note, I have a Chihuahua, 2 Poms, and an Irish setter and everyone is fixed except for the Irish Setter but thats a little later this year. One of my Poms is a boy (and the only boy in the house) when he was neutered he became more aggressive.

He is a doll 3/4's of the time but if I go to the door or say the word "go" he looses it! Funniest thing I have ever seen. My wife and I both think he is Bi-Polar and he is so little and cute its hard to do anything but tell him to calm down.

But its like I told her if someone cut your kahonies off you'd be a little pissed too.........

My daughter has a part chi-part yorki, we call her a Chorkie. She is six monhs old, and she never slows down until she is worn out. Then a nice nap and she is good to go again. She is the most loveable pup in the world, loves to jump to the back of the couch and lean around to give "kisses"galore. That little dog can jump from the floor over the arm of as chair to get to us.!! She is going to fixed soon , but I wonder if even that will slow her down. Our Shizu was fixed, she is three, and she is a bundle of energy still, especially when she gets with the Chorki.

I used to volunteer in an animal shelter.
It was so sad. So many unwanted animals.
So I vote for YES neuter and spay your animals.
No domestic animal should be born by accident.
They don't know any better, but the humans do and are responsible.
I'll get off my soapbox now. Sorry
P.S. I forgot to mention how cute he is! I love small dogs.

I run a dog rescue. Every dog that comes in is fixed immediately. There are way too many unwanted dogs in the world, and most of them are caused by carelessness. Spaying and neutering also cuts down on cancers in dogs. Get him fixed ASAP. In most areas, there are low cost spay/neuter clinics. If you go to Petfinder, you might be able to find one in your area- or call your local shelter.

It wouldnt do me justice to work at a shelter, I would have to take them all home!! Its already getting crowded in the bed now with all of the fur babies and my wife and I.

I was thinking the same thing!
