I'm a firm believer in controling the over population of dogs and cats. Additionally, what I read in your message is that your little dog is out of control; yes, you should neuter him 1st thing. Then getting working on 'working' him. Chiuahuas ( Like most breeds) were bred for a particular job, he needs to be kept busy . Walk him, play with him, teach him to do stuff. He'll be happier, you'll be happier. We all fall for cutest dog we see, but most people don't consider the temperment of the breed,or our own limitations , it's human nature. I've always had large dogs, Labs, Shepards... the last time I was in the market for a new pet , I gave it some thought... I have a Greyhound now, large, non-agressive, inside, cookie eating dog, no barking, shedding digging,or biting.... spend some time teaching him a job....:)

So true, also if you have several dogs like we have they all interact with each other and they keep each other busy.

Funny thing is I have 3 little ones and my Irish Setter/lab mix and they play so well together. But the only thing is the Setter thinks I need to carry her around like a baby. She sees me carrying the little ones and she thinks that it should be the same for her.

So everyone that comes over gets a kick out of me holding her like a baby on my hip. But she is my baby!!

Desexing cuts down on their cancer risks. In females, it also eliminates a certain life threatening infection. In males, it helps with aggression and leadership issues.

I just saw a Dog Whisperer where Cesar was aghast at these two dog owners who hadn't neutered a Boxer and a Bulldog. It was pretty funny. *Sexually frustrated* dogs trying to kill each other and Cesar was like "Duh!"

Absolutely yes! They calm down and are happier, IMO, and seem to be that lovey sit on my lap dog. Our last dog was Lhasa-Poo and supposed to weigh 12-15 pounds~ended up weighing 25 pounds! Not a lap dog, but he sure wanted to be!
    Cute dog!!

I agree. All our pets are fixed.

Yes, all my pets are fixed. I wanted to breed my bulldog Noel, but she had so many health issues as a puppy, I decided not too.
