When I got married that is one of the things I asked my Mom for. She gave me the one she had that we always used. It is still in the same old Fresca (soda) bottle. I have always loved it and nothing comes close to getting things "that perfectly wet" and I still use it today.

sadly I am. they are sprinkler tops for bottles. You used these when ironing. You sprinkled water on your clothes when ironing.

I remember them as well. As a kid I helped iron, in fact I would iron even daddy's dress shirts, anything to get out the doing the dishes. Funny I still like to iron...

I not only remember the sprinkler tops for bottles, but I have the one my mother used ALL of the time and I still use it in the pop bottle that she had-----I think it is Cotton Club diet lemon soda bottle---the label is coming off of the bottle. It is at least 50 years old----aaaahhhhhhhh---what a memory----we did the plastic bag in the refrigerator when we couldn't finish all of the ironing

Oh yes, I too remember these and my mom would sprinkle and roll clothes up and put them in the freezer.

I didn't read all the posts so I'm sure you have your answer. I may not have used them but i know that they are sprinjkler heads that you would stick in the top of a glass bottle of water. then proceed to sprinkle and iron your clothes.

My Mom used them all the time when ironing when I was a kid. As I got older and had to iron, used them also. When I married in 1970 I bought one because at that time I was still ironing work clothes until more no-iron fabrics started surfacing. I still have the sprinkler in an old bottle and won't get rid of it cause the minute I do, I'll need it!

I still use mine on occasion when I have lots of wrinkled material or shirts that sat in the dryer too long. It works better than my iron on some pieces.
