I was never a big shopper, but I am buying more these days. Not the usual "stuff" but things like canning jars, heirloom seeds, non-perishable food, etc. Guess I'm a prepper.

I suspect all the mall shoppers may have income tax checks in tow but not sure, just a thought.
I am finding the older I get that less is more! :)

I'm so with you on this.
We are getting ready to move and I'm thinking why did I need to have this collection or that collection? It is taking up room, you need to dust it, and how much it enough.
In the new house I'm going to go with "Less is More".
May be when you get older, you do get wiser!

I shop a lot less these days! I just don't seem to need as much.

I have always hated shopping! So I really dislike it more now that I am older. LOL I used to enjoy going for a drive but as I watch gas prices escalate daily, I sure do not enjoy that. It makes me mad to see gas go up like it has, so I prefer to stay at home more. As I have aged, I see that less is more, in a whole lot of ways. Wish some of the kids these days would learn that. My grands are way too spoiled!

With all the talk about the dollar being devalued, maybe people are trying to buy before it loses more value. We have been buying things to help us be more self sufficent. :?

I guess I was just born frugal. I don't shop much as such. I go for what I need and let it go at that.

I am shopping less but things cost more. Groceries are getting higher each week. Our family is smaller now, only 1 kid at home. We would have a really hard time now if all 6 kids were still home. We used 8 to 10 gallons of milk a week!

Same here - plus, I decided that the only way to NOTbe embarrassed about all those UFO's and USP's (UnStarted Projects) was to start knocking them off, sell them and put the proceeds into the New Car Jar

I am shopping less, and want to sell MORE of our stuff. There is a new "nursery" that has opened up really close to our house and allows those to sell their "treasures" or otherwise at their swap meet. That might be a good thing for us to try. It wouldn't hurt, ya know. Soooooooo when the weather STOPS SNOWING AND RAINING.....and if you are in the ozarks, drop by!
