Greetings from outside Sacramento. We sometimes go to Fresno for the Scottish Highland Games on Labor Day (DH's heritage - plus I LOVE to see men in kilts)

Your quilt is very pretty. It's always nice to see a new or different technique done.

I never had done any sewing before. My mom used to do quilts and I'm only sorry I did not pay attention to her quilting then, it's almost five years ago she passed away. I did get my sewing machine. Right away I got online and looked for free quilting patterns. I found one that I really liked. It was the attic window. Sinced my mom really enjoyed birds and flowers, that was what I used. I gave the quilt to my aunt. Only wished I could have given it to my mom. I did the quilts for the teachers, my son had two his first year. I have really enjoyed this site, I'm learning a lot from you guys and I know I'm going to learn a whole lot more. I can use all the help.I also learned why many sew, it's so relaxing. I really enjoy it. Thanks for the pretty pictures. I'm only sorry I didn't take pictures of my quilts I've done and given away. Smiles
Welcome to the board. My Sister in law and family live in Valley Center. We are down there visiting occasionally.
