Welcome! I am very new too! I have found some great tutorials on youtube. Also, maybe focus on piecing the top and doing simple quilting techniques, like tying or "stich in the ditch" to start with. You dont want to overwhelm yourself and make it too hard. I find I need to be enjoying what I am doing, or else forget it! I want to have fun with my hobbies. :)

Just welcoming you to the board, from northeast Georgia! I am a longarm quilter. After you piece your quilt top, if you don't want to do the hand quilting, you take your quilt top and backing to someone like me! :) :)

I started 2 yrs ago. I checked out a book at library. Started out with baby blankets. Still learning. Good luck, let us know how ur doiNg or if u have questions! Welcome from Michigan!!
