    I have the same problem with my finished quilt...but I chalk it up to learing. Another common factor we have is we are both in Texas. Welcome to Quilting Board and you have a new friend.

    It happens to all of us. I sometimes take it out three times but after that it was meant to be.

    I don't match seams very well either. And the 1/4 inch is on my machine. My friend tells me" Every quilt is unique." So, I just go with it. Nothing is perfect, and for me, that is so true. I sew with love, and have to just let it go.

    welcome...from OK..though I am in TX right now..

    sometimes it is NOT just he 1/4" seam, but understanding intersections, odd angles, etc...

    keep practicing...and slow down...relax your shoulders....you will get it!
