I use dry erase markers to 'test' quilting designs... Lay a sheet of Plexiglass on the quilt top and practice the designs. It's a great way to practice and get the scale right, or find your path for quilting individual blocks.

This is a wonderful idea! Thank you for sharing it with us. I learn something new every time I read the posts on here.

Our Walmart has all the school supplies out, including clear Elmer's glue in a bottle. I picked up a bottle to try. I also found a box of Fiskar Scissors with sparkling handles sitting on the cutting table marked down to $3.00.

I got glue sticks and graph paper at Walmart. I got sandwich boxes at the dollar store (if you take a tape measure you can find some that will hold 5" squares).

Our Walmart has packages of 2 snack packs for $1.50 and they are perfect holders for Fiskars Rotary Cutters and packages of three small square ones that could hold 2 1/2" squares and possibly 3 1/2" squares for $1.50. I love back to school shopping days.

If you choose to pick up crayons at WalMart - I noticed that the Crayola brand is still there - but they also have another brand that has similar looking packaging.
