Don't cut off your star points

I have made this pattern for years, but have never put the pattern where I can find it LOL. This is a great pattern for group sewing so none of the star points get cut off when sewing the blocks together.

    I like it!

It allows more fabric to show around the stars. A nice pattern for beginners too.

Thanks, QuiltnNan this is a keeper. I see this as a fun and easy quilt to make with little room for error. It could easily become a "go to" pattern when I decide I want to give a quilt and the turn around time is tight. Copied and put in my Quilting file on the computer.

Thanks, Nan! I can't tell you how many times I've cut them off and I've been sewing way too long for such nonsense

This is a great pattern. I’m going to save it for the days when I need something easy and quick. Thanks.

Thank you! This would work well in our group in which we have several different skill levels of workers!

As I use 12.5" blocks much more frequently than the 10.5" blocks that this pattern makes, I changed the measurements to use 4.5" and 3.5" squares to make the larger block I need. I love it when the points are not cut off. Thanks for sharing. This will make great scrappy star blocks.

I love these "floating" stars. I've done 3 quilts with that pattern so far.

Thanks great pattern. I’ve been wanting to do an Amish style quilt with black background this will work perfectly and my stars will have all their points to boot! Thanks Shelbie, for the size option!
