Quilters are so innovative. Great new idea. But...you do need a tiny iron for this method.
Great technique for any applique project.

I took a class last year. Identical technique, except we used watered down school glue and an artist's paint brush.

They are quite costly on line. $22.00.

Buy a brush and make your own starch mixture, it is a lot cheaper!

Here is the recipe. 1 heaping TBLS to 1 pint of water , you can add more starch if necessary

Could also be in a store that sells supplies for making cards.

I have something similar from a stamp craft store. Maybe hobby lobby?

Thanks to all of you for posting, I'm not online much after about 7 a.m. CST. All of you have wonderful ideas and solutions, but like I said, I mainly just posted it for any of you who are interested in applique.

I just spray some starch into the lid of the spray starch can...it turns to liquid, and use a little stencil brush. I do like the idea of double freezer paper for more intricate designs though! Thanks for posting the link!
