Ania the 500e is a fantastic machine! I love everything about it, especially the large color screen and the on board editing capabilities are awesome.

oh, and another thing - the Brother PE770 was on an Amazon flash sale a week or so ago for almost what that Costco machine is selling for. I'd watch Amazon every day from now til after Christmas because prices change daily and there's another Brother machine that is the twin to the 770 that may go on sale. It's the Designio 820. It comes with 3 hoops and enough thread and stabilizers so you can start embroidering right out of the box. It's every bit the work horse machine as the 770.

I have the Brother LB 6800PRW and I love it. Mine came with the rolling case, which is very nice cuz I sometimes sew in my dining room instead of my sewing rooms downstairs (No Hallmark channel on tv down there. And I am addicted to the Christmas season on Hallmark.) I can store the machine away and move it out of the way when company comes. Amazon also carries this machine and rolling case for a bit more than the Costco cost, but does not have the extra thread which is totally a great package deal. The small 4x4 hoop is big enough to sew labels, because you can get a hoop for the machine that allows you to take your work out of the machine and move it up or down to make a bigger embroidered pattern. Works great. Having the sewing and embroidery machine, I can use it as a backup when my other machine is being serviced or I have another project going on and I dont want to change any thread or settings. And yes, you may want to do more embroidery. And it can be done with this machine.

I just finished the handle covers for my fridge. I saw on another site that someone made similar and used MR and MRS Clause. I had snow people appliqués/patches and this is what I came up with. I used Velcro to wrap them....I'm pleased.

The screen on the Janome 350e is really very lousy....I am always using my imagination since sometimes its just impissible to figure out what is it going to stitch next....thanks for clarifying it for me....

I have a Janome 1100SE upgrade with the Accu fill. It have not trod hat part out yet. It embroidery s beautifully. And it fits in a a Tuttuo bag should I ever need/want t take it smewhere. All my quilting friends are purchasing the Janome 500E. It's base is huge and they ar having a difficult time finding bags to tramsporrt it in. It's too big with the arm on for a Tutto bag. They all love it. I'd like to have it simply b/c it's a lighter machine, and has one bigger hoop than mine doesn't. It mi e actually has more built in designs /. Fonts than the 500e. Mine is a combo machine. However I only use it for embroidering. my workhorse is a Janme 6600. I LOVE this machine for a eye day piecing.

LaQuita I just found out yesterday that there is a case being made for the 500E but it's back ordered everywhere, there's been so many machines sold that the demand is huge for the case and the company can't make them fast enough.
