Think about what size quilt block you work with the most. Then match the shapes to that finished size block. I have the 8,9, and 12 inch cubes or the equal dies. The cubes are limited to cutting 6 quantity of each shape. You can also find the corresponding individual die that cuts 2 or more of the shapes.

Example the 2 1/2 inch die that cuts 9 at a time. You get 54 squares with one pass. The strip dies work well for cutting multiple squares

Last year the sale before Thanksgiving was the best offer. I don't know if that will hold for this year or not..

I have the basic squares, triangles, love the strips as well.
I need a better place for my Go. It's not convenient right now and I find I'm not using it as much
as I would if it were placed better.
It's such a great thing to have. My accuracy is much better with the system than my hands
I got a BOB and companion set for my birthday 9 months ago and haven't even used it yet!
I really need to figure out a better spot.

She uses the dies for bulk cutting of her quilt pieces, thus the same size units for her quilt patterns. She has rulers she sells to make the cuts so she emphasizes those in the patterns but says use the method you like to cut the shapes.

If you are doing Bonnie Hunter mystery quilts I recommend that you get strip dies (which you can also use to subcut squares and rectangles and diamonds) and since her blocks tend to have many smaller units, if you are doing her 12" blocks you really would need to use an 8 or 6" Qube.

I only buy Blocks on Board (BOBs) that I know I can use several ways--like the log cabin die, or ones that I need because it has curves that I'd be sloppy with , like the 6" DP or the Cleopatra's fan.
I also am doing a RuthAnn Barry 3D quilt and needed to cut 625+ equilateral triangles--so bought the die! Would never get it done with out that die and even though more scrap than if I'd bought a new ruler it is so worth it--especially as all 3 grandsons will eventually get one of these!

I use my die with two 5" squares on it the most. I am always cutting my scraps into 5" squares, and I sometimes sell sets of 5" I Spy squares.

Today I wanted to make some 'shoo fly' blocks, so I used the die that comes with the machine. I has 2.5" square and two 2.5" HSTs, plus a 4.5" square. I cut all the shoo fly HSTs and squares with that one die. I got near perfect 6.5" shoo fly blocks, so cute!

I find I have to sew a scant 1/4" seam with these accuquilt cuts, or my finished blocks will be small.

I too have fallen in love with the Accuquilt Go Big electric cutter. I would love to see how everyone is storing their set up so they are handy to use and not just sitting over in a corner. Accuquilt has lots of U tube videos which are very helpful.

I have very limited space here anymore. I have the Go Me! and the Go! I have to store them on the floor right now. I even do a good deal of my cutting from the floor. My cutting table is so jammed up right now. My machines get used frequently right now as I just finished several quilt tops. As mentioned I do a great deal of BOB dies especially those that I can interwork with other blocks. I have so many plans for so many quilts right now that I will be sewing a life time nonstop. I find the go me easier to handle sometimes for many of the dies and I have space on my cutting table for it more often.
