Hi Krystyna, I have been using my GO for over a month now for a row quilt I am making with several quilty friends...I have run my mat through at least 100 times on this project and it still works great! I read that to extend the mat life it is best to flip the mat over and from end to end between uses which is what I have been doing... mine seems to self heal. I picked up replacement mats on sale buy have not had to use them. On the mat size issue you inquired of...I would suggest picking up a 6 X 12 (which I use with the 6X12 and 5X10 dies), and a 10 X 10 if that is required for the 6" square. I absolutely love my Accuquilt GO and plan to use it for my April Doll Quilt!!!

the mats are not expensive and they last longer if you move them just a smidge with every cut so the die blade won't be cutting in the same spot over and over. I've used my strip die for five years and it's still as sharp as it was new. I buy the mats when I find a sale. I keep a good supply of them on hand.

I love mine, got it on ebay new for $160 get the dies the same way! I use mine all the time, no more wrist pain when cutting strips

Well, here's what I bought. The Go cutter, which comes with some stuff, although not much, the 10x10 mat, 6 1/2" triangle, 6 1/2" tumbler and the hexagon set. That ought to hold me for a while! I can't wait!!!

I'm thinking it is the way I'm going to have to go. My right arm is much better than the left. I know I could turn a handle with my right but I can't even get the toothpaste on my brush or button my coat anymore with the left.
