I love that "if I use it I won't have anymore" .... I save lil pieces of EVERYTHING

It is madness. When someone asked me to make them something, I invite them to my stash and they are shocked at the amount of fabric I have. We all need help so don't feel alone.

I'm addicted. I cannot leave a fabric store without at least several yards of fabric that I have no immediate plans for. I'm also a button addict. I have tons and tons of buttons, every size and color.

My question is: Do you "sneak" your fabric into the house so that your significant other doesn't know?

I'm totally guilty.

I sneak, at least some. My shelves have a curtain so it doesn't look like so much. Still every time my dh sees some he says "Why are you buying more? You have so much already."

A few years ago, my husband and the husband of my quilting buddy were talking, within my earshot, unbeknownst to them. Her man said "She has so much fabric, she'll never use it up."
My man said..."Nooooooo....you're not supposed to USE it, just COLLECT it"!
Is he a keeper or what? I think he truly understands...LOL.

Honey you have come to the right place. Many of us feel the same way you do. Heck sometimes I'll just go into a quilt shop to feel up the fabric.

my screen name says it all. LOL. And I agree there is no cure. Someone asked how much - depends on the fabric. the minimum is 1 yard. however I am more likely to buy 2 or more. Then I have enough for a back as well as some on the front of a baby quilt.

Fabric addiction! That's the number one requirement for becoming a quilter. <grin>
