    Great idea, but I need to do that with the old spools of thread too. I have one drawer in a cabinet, and these are BIG drawers, filled to the brim with every color of thread you could ever want, except when you need to hem new drapes and they are dark olive green and you have to postpone doing them until you can get to town.Figures,doesn't it?

    Julie that is the same thing I do. Sometimes I empty several of them this way and I do not have those little amounts on the bobbins for the colors you are working with. Sure makes sense to me.
