    Wow--thanks for the tip, that is such a good idea. I just might do the same for spools of thread I don't use either. I have only been quilting for 2 years, but have learned so much from this board. THANKS!!!!!!

    that is a great tip i have alot of bobbins with thread on them that i wont be using again , sometimes i use them for piecing

    Super idea - thank you. I am just starting a scrap strip quilt top so now I will drag out those old thread spools with just a little left on them....and the bobbins too.
