I'd love input on how to quilt this top that I just finished.
I've been experimenting with FMQ so some of it could be that. I also just got rulers which I haven't tried yet, but I could use those.
The colours remind me of the sea and surf, so I was considering using that as a motif: waves, starfish in the centre block etc...But don't let that stop you if you have any ideas that you think would look great.
I'm open to anything.

Nicely done. I would ditch it and then find a neat stencil you could quilt in the setting and corner triangles. Just look for a square stencil that would work if you imagine cutting it in half. That is what I use to do when I quilted big quilts.

My go-to for inspiration on linear quilts like this is Judi Madsen's blog (www.greenfairyquiltsblog.com ).

In keeping with the ocean theme, if you do a starfish motif in the center (or my favorite, a sea horse) & waves in the sashing, what about rows of continuous line sea shells in the outer colored square within a square. You could repeat it with a tiny seashell in each of the colored intersections in the sashing. I would then bring the motif from the square within a square out into the white triangles along the border, as a motif, and maybe use bubbles as your filler. And finish with more seashells in the border. Would look really cool if you do the starfish with trapunto/faux-trapunto.

I agree 100% with Leta that Judi Madsen is amazing with fillers. She's a great resource to figure out how you want to fill the space around your motifs.

really nice quilt. Check out Green Fairy quilts, but also look at Angela Walters and Leah Day's. Both show how to do their designs on the DSM. I would probably ditch to stabilize, then do as ManiacQuilter2 suggested to quilt the setting triangles. I'd use some type of design that used some swirls or spirals in the white that would allow you to move over the quilt. I'd repeat that in the white border. Then in the blue border that is same color in the blocks, I would probably use another more geometric design to move around border and also repeat in the same color in the block. GreenFairy Quilts has some amazing designs for those center blocks, so does Angela Walters. My favorite sashing/border design is the wishbone--it allow you to move large distances, has curves and angles and just seems to "flow" for me.
