Any ideas on quick ways to sell lots of fabric?

How about looking for a church or community center that will let you set up and sell it there after you advertise and/or contact local guilds. Not a flea market people can be nasty. They want it for nothing there.

I had a garage sale and made about $1,000 in two weekends. The down side, I had to sell it for at least half of what I paid for it but it was cash in hand and I needed the $$ for moving as my hubby had lost his job and we needed to move 'back home' and stay with mom a while.
Word of mouth quickly passed the news that they could get $9.00/yd qsq fabric for $3.50/yd.

No no please DO NOT CUT it up into fat quarters !
Most quilters much prefer to buy yardage. You could do some coord. groups of 1 yd bundles like they sell at the shows, or 1 & 2 yd cuts and 3-4-5 yds for backings if you can. You can always cut those smaller if they don't sell and THEN into fats if they don't move -
Check with your local quilt guilds or church guilds, put an ad on Craigs list, Greensheet, local papers etc
Our quilt guild held several sales for those "retiring" from quilting, or from an estate. They were very successful !!
