Are any of you like

I have a hard time finishing a quilt with a number of the same blocks, even if those blocks are in different colors. That's why I always have a number of ongoing projects at the same time. In fact right now I'm looking for another project while 3 quilts are waiting to be finished.

I'm like you too! I get really bored!!!!!!!!That's also one of the reasons I have a lot of quilts going on at once! :D
One thing I do which is a bit off subject- I always have a quilt in progress (hand quilting) for when I just want to relax and have something to work on.

My first two quilts were exactly the same, different fabrics. JoAnn's had a mystery quilt and you didn't know what the whole thing would look like until the last month. I was working there at the time and I agreed to make the blocks to show how they would look different with very different fabric (and they did). Now, I have so many patterns to try and such little time. I might make a baby quilt the same as an adult quilt (or a doll one to match) but that would be the only reason. Just to much to try.

I have some blocks that I love to make and they just find their way into my quilts, but I love to try new blocks -- as my collection of orphan blocks attest. I have a couple of patterns that I have made more than once, but normally I get bored with the pattern before I finish and don't do it again.

I usually make 2 of the same pattern, at the same time, using entirely different colors so if I get bored with one, I can switch over to the other, the change in colors seem to "revitalize" the project for me. Like you, once they are done, I'm done, I usually don't make that pattern again.

I only refuse to make a second one of anything if I hated doing it the first go-round. But once I figure out why I disliked something, that may help me decide if I want to overcome the objection in the future.
