I love this discussion of gremlins. I have always declared that I have gremlins. I can identify with many of you. I lose a sewing item and when I finally go and buy a replacement, it shows up. I also something away where I will know where it is and when I go to get it, it is not there. We could get a lot more done with out the gremlins in our lives.

Isn't it nice to know we all have company? I was looking through my patterns over the weekend - must have REALLY liked the Grommet bag pattern - have two brand new ones of the same patterns. Hmmm - classifieds?
I looked EVERYWHERE for two kits to take on an upcoming trip. Think I could find them? Nope. Got up the next morning and they were right there in a top cubby sitting all nice and perky - smirking!

I don't do as many projects as I think some of you do, so I put tools back in their place before I leave the room. BUT, I misplace the tools AS I'm using them!!
FYI: the scissor holder that I can attach to my shirt isn't worth the $. The elastic is new and I have to pull hard on it to pull the cuticle scissor to where I want to cut..then the scissor can easily SNAP back up to my chest like a little flying weapon!
The other day I went to 3 different stores..v. busy stores. Then I went to them again, retracing my footsteps because I had lost my Master Shopping/Organization list for a trip I'm taking. I eventually found my special list the third time I went into one of the stores.
Gremlins in my sewing area/room???? Nah, just in my brain!

You mean - I may not be nuts. My husband just asked me the other day "What are you going to do with all these scissors"? Hmmm. The last thing I lost was my dresden plate template. Ended up buying a new one at Little Blessings Quilt Store in another town. I learned a hard lesson - prices have really gone up on items that George walks away with. Ramona Byrd's George, the gremlin, really does get around. Comes all the way from California to Tenn.
This Quilting Board, by the way, is fantastic. Terrific people who really do help out.

I too have gremlins or soething here. I used to blame y kids for never having a pen by the phone or leaving things where they were supposed to be but, I think they must have left their little spirits behind so that I would not miss them so much.

I think I have a pack of them . I can't for the life of me find the manuals for my sewing machines. Even the new one I got last week. Maybe my daughter will find them after I'm gone. Sure do need them at times and don't know how to replace them.
