To clarify, as mentioned above, I do not have an accuquilt, and were easily cut with an acrylic template and small rotary cutter.

CKCowl hit it with the suggestion of the table runner.
EXACTLY my motive in doing the runner, to learn curves. While I said I found the process actually quite relaxing ... Heavens NO! I can't ever imagine doing a whole quilt. Although, I do see myself doing another runner or tabletopper, all for the fun of it ... this time it'll be in more spring-like colours!

If you mark the centers on all four sides of the core and pin, they sew easily by machine. How large is the lovely tabletopper? That would give me an idea of what I'm up against.

I didn't mark ... just folded in half and let the crease be my guide. And yes they sewed pretty easily.

The 40 cores made a runner about 38"x15".
Of course, would depend on the size of your template, as I remember the pattern I used had several different template sizes included. Hope this helps!

Something I have been meaning to try. i have bought several different sizes of acrylic and plastic templates. Cutting out seem,s hard enough. I have borrowed my friends accuquilt - but disappointingly she has not (yet) bought the apple core die. The dies are so expensive I am reluctant to buy in case I don't get on with sewing them. I ceratainly don't have the patience to sew by hand.
