Bailey 15

Bailey 15
I have an opportunity to pick up a Bailey 15 with a New Generation frame for $1200. It is 3 years old and has been used to quilt one queen size and two baby quilts. I currently have a Brother 1500 (9 inch throat) on a New Joy frame. This new machine is considered a mid - arm like mine I believe but it does have an extra 6 inches in the throat. I have no knowledge of Baileys. Is there anyone that has/have had a Bailey? What are your thoughts on it?

The 9" harp of the Brother 1500 is actually considered a shortarm. The 15" of the Bailey would be considered a midarm. The Bailey setup sounds like a really good deal to me, but I don't have a Bailey myself so can't comment on them other than they seem to get good reviews from quilters.

I would get it in a heartbeat. I don't have one personally, but I do have 2 friends that both have Baileys and are very happy with them. When I have the room and the money, a Bailey I will get. If you would like my friend's email address, PM me and I'll give you that information, I do know in advance that it's alright to give that information to people who are interested in the Bailey.
