batting for potholders
Hello.. I have some left over Christmas material and I am thinking I will make some potholders to give as Christmas gifts this year. I have never made potholders. What kind of batting do I use? I will need something insulated correct? Please let me know

Although there will be many that don't use it, I too prefer Insul-Brite. Think it depends on how much you like the recipient.........
It usually comes with instructions on how to layer it with a layer of cotton batting. Poly is not recommended for hot ovens.

I use one layer of insul-bright, shiny side to back of pot holder and I layer of whatever is handy. Have used batting, thin blanket, c0uple of layers of flannel. All seem to get he job done and all seem to function the same. Cannot tell which is which once the memory of making them fades.
